Build the right mental model
Clash Verge Rev provides the interface while mihomo executes configuration and network rules. A subscription is a remote configuration source. These layers work together but have different responsibilities. Installation is easiest when old clients are closed and current settings are recorded first.
Follow a controlled sequence
Record the current state, confirm the operating system and CPU architecture, and use trusted sources. Change one setting at a time so every result has a clear cause.

Verify the result
Verify direct connectivity first, then the client state, configuration timestamp, selected node, and system proxy. TUN also requires checking permissions, routes, and DNS.
Clash Verge Rev is a graphical desktop client. It uses mihomo as its proxy core. mihomo is a core and command-line program, not a normal graphical client.
Recover safely when something fails
If connectivity breaks, disable TUN and the system proxy to restore direct access. Inspect the client, core, configuration, and route in that order. Do not disable security checks as a permanent fix.
